Next FSBC Lawrence Family Promise Rotation
PLEASE NOTE: Our next Family Promise rotation is Sunday, September 4 - Sunday, September 11. There are three main ways to help:
  • We have been asked to provide cash or checks made out to "Family Promise Lawrence." The staff at Family Promise will then purchase gift cards or grocery items specific to each family's needs. 
  • Freezer Meals are so helpful to families who are balancing new jobs and children. Please include the type of casserole and reheating or cooking directions.   
  • We have added Kwik Shop Gift Cards to our giving options. These cards will help Family Promise provide gas money to the families.

Please have the cash or checks, donation items, and frozen meals to the church office by Sunday, September 4th. Please CLICK TO SIGN-UP for the item you plan to bring. Thank you for your help.
TIPS FOR EASIER ONLINE REGISTRATIONS:
Some people have had trouble with our new online registration software through Planning Center. We want to help clarify how to login with ease. Here are two scenarios:
  • ALREADY LOGGED IN: If you are already logged in to Planning Center on your device, you should be able to just click "Register" and make your selection. 
  • NOT LOGGED IN: If you are not logged in on your device already, please type in the cell phone number or email that the church has on file  for you. You will be sent a security code to verify your log in. Type in the code that you receive, and then proceed with your registration. Please do not use alternate phone number or emails as it will create a second account for you. The system should remember you on that device for at least the next 30 days. 
  • STILL STUMPED: Stop by the Connection Point Information Center in the foyer before or after services and Stephanie will help you get set-up.  
2021 Impact Report for FSBC Lawrence
In 2021, all of you helped serve in our various programs:
  • 141 families in Prevention 
  • 56 families in Diversion 
  • 31 families in Shelter 
  • 3 families in Temporary Housing
  • 122 families in Stabilization 
Total number of families in all programs in 2021 = 353 with 1,159 people, and 698 of them are children. One quarter of all families served in 2021 participated in more than one of the FPL programs.  

Thank you for making this happen! And, please let's all remember that each of these households is not just a statistic, but is a family with a story of love, strength, care, resilience, joy and also some heartbreak. Each of these families has precious children who are in school or childcare. Each family has struggles, parents have jobs or are seeking employment, each are working hard. Each of these families have friendships, laughter, giggles, favorite pizza, favorite movies, favorite sports teams. Each of these households have much in common with each of us.  

Thank you for your care, compassion, support and time given to these families in 2021.
