family promise virtual 5K home run
As the complexities and Social Distancing Mandates surrounding this evolving COVID-19 continue, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to transition our 5K Home Run into a “virtual” event. So, what does this mean?
A virtual race allows you to run (or walk) from any location you choose on your own time and at a safe distance per CDC, city, county and state guidelines. Click HERE to sign up today. On the form, please indicate that you want to be on First Southern Baptist Church's team! There is also an app this year for the virtual 5K. Download the app by clicking HERE. Low-income families are some of the hardest hit by COVID-19, and hourly workers, which represent most of the families we serve, have begun to feel the effects of layoffs and business closures. This is just the beginning. These families need your help now! Family Promise of Lawrence is well positioned for serving new families through their Diversion and Prevention Programs. We continue to work closely with the National Family Promise office as well as local agencies as the situation develops to ensure families are as secure and healthy as possible in these unprecedented times. Will you please offer your support at this critical time and make a gift to Family Promise of Lawrence today to ensure we are able to remain responsive to families’ emerging needs related to the coronavirus and its impact in our community? CONTACT: If you have questions please contact Erin Roberts at 785.843.8167 or office@fsbcfamily.com. |
